Norco CA Homes
There are two faces to the Norco real estate market. The equestrian properties and mom and pop shops with small town feel make up one half. The other side of Norco are the former cattle farms that have been purchased and developed into new subdivisions and golf course communities.
Laws are much more liberal here than in most places when it comes to provisions for animal keeping, even in higher end housing. Minimum lot sizes in Norco are a generous 1/2 acre in size.
Home prices in Norco range from the mid $300,000's to just under $2,000,000 for large hillside properties with gorgeous views.
Norco residents are known for their political involvement and concerns about animal welfare. When the 2003 wildfires plagued San Bernardino County, the Norco Animal Rescue Team (NART), worked to find temporary homes for evacuated animals.
This active community has over 400 acres of parkland and 95 miles of walking/equestrian trails. The city operates 15 parks with various sports facilities and a community center with gym, pool, meeting facilities and ball field.
A popular annual event is the Norco Valley Fair that includes the crowning of Miss Norco, Calf Dressing, Cowboy Poker, Wild Cow Milking, Snail Races, Family Fun Day and a parade.
The Silverlakes Equestrian Sports Park, a proposed 122-acre recreational facility is in the works for future development. In addition to horse events, the multi-use park will feature soccer, football, field hockey, lacrosse, and climate controlled barns, and reception hall.
